CASH DRAWERS: HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT
OLDER MODELS:

Painted drawer as shown above.

Has 2 cords underneath:​

Serial cable
-
Power cord
-

Serial cable runs directly to POS and connects at Comm 2 (B) port.
SERIAL CABLE PORTS INSIDE POS:
-
Guest Check printer connection on left.​
-
Cash Drawer connection on right.
-
Make sure cable is seated properly.
POWER ISSUES:
-
Check power cord connection on bottom of drawer.
-
Check AC adapter at adapter and outlet.
-
Try other known working outlet.
NEWER DRAWERS:
-
Unpainted metal front.
NEWER DRAWERS:
-
Check connection under drawer.
-
One cable provides connectivity and power supply.
NEWER DRAWERS:
-
Cash drawer plugs directly into Guest Check printer.
-
Make sure connection is seated properly.
DIAGNOSTIC UTILITY:
-
Select Test Cash Drawer.
-
Install/Reset OPOS Printers.
