COMMON ISSUES WITH ALL EQUIPMENT

START HERE

Many times the problem comes down to one of two issues: power or connectivity.

Follow the steps listed below to troubleshoot these problems before going further.

POWER
  • Make sure power cord is completely plugged into the outlet.

  • Check to see if cord is completely plugged into the device.

  • Check connection at AC/DC Converter box.

  • Swap out with a known working cord.

  • Swap out to a known working outlet.

  • Check breaker box.

CONNECTIVITY
  • Look for connectivity lights.

  • They indicate communication within the network.

  • Re-seat connections between device and Ethernet jack.

  • On some devices you may have to open the case to access to networking cable.
